A beautiful restaurant on the Bosphorus in a residential area about 10 miles from the downtown Istanbul; tables right on the water; has its own water taxi from the European side; expensive; considered one of the best restaurants in Turkey and featured by Zagat. Famous for it's fish baked in crusted salt.

A traditional Turkish restaurant in the Sultanahmet section of Istanbul. Excellent mezes and grilled meats. Ask for a table on the roof patio and for Ramazan to serve you.

A delightful Turkish restaurant right on the Galata bridge (second last on the right over the Golden Horn) featuring excellent grilled seafood and mezes. The restaurant is very casual, and so is the price.

 

A superb tradition meat restaurant in Bodrum, specializing in kebabs, mezes, and a variety of grilled specialities. Service and ambience are unprecedented, though the location is most unusual along the main Konacik-Ortakent highway. Beware that items you haven't ordered to not end up on your table, as you will be charged for them.

Never mind the suggestion in the name - Sunger Pizza is far more than a pizza parlor. It's the hub of downtown Bodrum, catering to the most basic and sophisticated palates. In the summertime, sit on the rooftop for a panoramic view over Bodrum Milta Marina. Daily specials feature local Turkish dishes, and there is a full assortment of mezes, entrees, and of course, pizza.

'Behind the Manav'
Local Bodrum fishmongers and buthcers are located behind the permanent fish and vegetable stand in downtown Bodrum. . A recent trend resulted in one of the fish mongers turning his small shop into a restaurant serving only mezes and drinks, but customers were welcome to bring their purchased fish, chicken or meat prepared to order. The concept roared away, and now the entire area is a small gourmet ghetto.

Meyhane `GAAK`
This brand new restaurant is the ultimate in cozy chic with a subtle blend of modern and traditional. The menu features all of the local Turkish classic mezes and entrees, yet each one with an original twist. Local greens are one of the highlights as is the daily fish catch and the Bodrum Fish Soup. Owners Veli and Ferit bring years of experience to their new venture.

When Mehmet opened his house up to the local sailors and fishermen on a vista overlooking Ölüdeniz, he had no idea what he had begun. Always serving the freshest seafood with premium service, White Dolphin is a must-eat-at stop on the Blue Cruise.

Kirmizi Restaurant
A superb, home cooking with a twist restaurant featuring original artwork and local recipes that Duygu has developed from her family recipes. Local greens, steak and pasta are her specialities, served with a beautiful and private view over Bodrum harbor.
