What does it mean to pre-board? Do you get on before you get on?
Southern Cross Timer
Our first ownership plunge into the gulet charter adventure was the purchase of Southern Cross Timer in 2004. Originally commissioned in 1979 to the Furat family, Timer was named after the owner's two sons TIMucin and ERden. She took two years to complete in the traditional Bodrum manner, with individual pine trees chosen for their curves, cut without a full moon, and cured for 12 months. At her launch, she was the most luxurious gulet ever built in Bodrum.
Today, Southern Cross Timer is still pure to her heritage. If her walls could talk, they would speak of royalty, presidents and heads of state who have cruised on her. She is also the vessel upon which many romantic liaisons occurred over four decades.
We have kept her original configuration of four double cabins and two bathrooms. What we have upgraded are the creature comforts, including electric toilets, wi-fi, an expanded galley, flat screen DVD, freezer, nespresso machine, expanded refrigeration, forward cocktail seating area, generators and an ice-maker.
On Southern Cross Timer, you'll experience the Blue Cruise on a vessel which contributed to its history. She can take up to 8 guests, and her aft open-air deck space rivals that of much larger gulets. She is an excellent choice for those who want a luxury experience without the luxury budget. Read about Southern Cross Timer in the Los Angeles Times and in Islands Magazine.
Her charter rates are from 900-975 Euro per day.
