Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience.
We receive a lot of feedback from our clients and friends about their first hand hotel experiences while travelling in Turkey. Here is a collection of favorites over the years.
Luxury Hotels in Istanbul
For the ultimate in five-star luxury, we suggest the Four Seasons Bosphorus, Four Seasons Sultanahmet and the Kempinski Cirağan Palace. On the Asian side, Summahan on the Water is an unforgettable experience.
Hip and trendy hotels in Istanbul
The W Hotel is located in the upscale neighborhoods close to Beşiktaş and Nişantaşı, and the Hotel Prince and Senatus are in the old city in Sultanahmet.
Mid-range hotels in Istanbul
Our favorites are the Aussie owned Ayasofya as well as the fantastic food at Sirkeci Mansion Hotel in Sultanahmet, and on the Taksim side, the Tomtom Suites.
Luxury Hotels in Bodrum
We suggest the Mandarin Oriental in Göltürkbükkü, the Kempinski Barbaros Bay in Yaliçiftlik, the Aman Ruya in Göltürkbükkü and The Marmara Bodrum.
Hip and Trendy Hotels in Bodrum
Maça Kızı in Türkbükkü is a perennial favorite, and the new Marina-Go Hotel in central Bodrum is an adults only, well located modern hotel.
Mid-range hotels in Bodrum
El Vino comes highly recommended, and Diamond of Bodrum is very well located as is the Marina Vista.
Hotels in Selçuk
There is only one address in our opinion in Selçuk, and that is the Hotel Bella. She is the ultimate boutique hotel with exceptional hospitality by the owners Erdal and Nazmi, and our favorite Kiwi Leanne who runs the show. Two years ago, her sister hotel Nilya opened up just a few steps away.
Hotels in Göcek
At the high-end we suggest D-Marin (formerly the Swissotel) but our personal favorite haunt is the Görkem Apart Hotel due to its cleanliness and hospitality.
Hotels in Cappadocia
Hands down - the Museum Hotel is the place to stay.
